Which care to choose : Community Acupuncture or Private Patient Care???
Which is better for me :::
Private Patient Care or Community Acupuncture ???
Here at Acupuncture Tennessee, my associate (Teri) and I (Kevin) are committed to providing optimal care to everyone, regardless of their income. While we don’t accept health insurance, we devised a way to offer care around the cost of a copay.
If affordability is a driving factor, we offer sliding scale treatments with Community Acupuncture. Cost is about $35-55, depending on income. No, we will not ask to verify how much you’re making. Please, pay what you can truly afford.
With Community Acupuncture, you are receiving more focused sessions while in a room with other folks. Sessions are shorter and more focused on a particular condition. You’ll have time for a brief intake (in a private, separate room), and then a focused session of shorter duration (in a room with others). If you have multiple things going on, we can work with you! It just might take a few more sessions to get to address all of them.
With Private Patient care, you will be in your own room. Sessions are longer (90 minutes for initial, 60-90 minutes for follow up). This might serve you better for a few reasons:
- It gives you privacy if it feels needed
- We can go in depth into your entire condition and treat multiple issues
- Time is afforded to explore in depth not only what the issue is, but what is underneath.
- Extra time is allotted for bodywork/cupping/extra Acupuncture, etc.
So which one should you choose? If there is any doubt, please contact us and we’ll help guide your decision. Some people will start with one style, then switch to another. Our goal is to meet your specific needs in the best way possible.
Generally speaking, there are a few specific guidelines that may help inform your decision on private vs. community care.
Community
- You have a fixed budget
- You want to come multiple times in a week for fastest resolution
- You want to focus on a particular issue rather than in depth care
- You’re not interested in bodywork/longer sessions
- You’d like cupping, but not at the same time as Acupuncture
Private Care
- Your issue is complex
- You may need herbal assistance (Kevin only)
- You’re interested in deep healing and integrating the entirety of your system
- You might have emotional needs that you’d rather tend to in a private setting.
- You’d like a combination of bodywork (Kevin only), cupping or guasha to go at the same time.
